locate bad injector

I am almost positive that i have at least one or more injectors on my truck bad or weak. How would i go about finding which injector or injectors are bad.

Find someone who has an AutoEnginuity scan tool and do a BUZZ Test. That will tell you if you have a bad or weak injector.

Buzz test and cylinder contribution test will help you find the weak one, you need a good scan tool to run those tests.


Also you can pull the VC's and unplug each injector one at a time. If the idle does not change when you disconnect an injector than that injector is bad.

The buzz test will only show you that the idm and wiring to the injectors are good.

Contribution test will be more helpful, make sure truck is hot when you do it.

What makes you think you have a bad injector?
