Does anyone know what a 4" lift would do to MPG's on the hwy? How much decrease are we talking. I have a 4" lift and 35x12.50 AT's on factory 20's on my '07 crew cab and I'm only getting 17-17.5 at 70-75mph. Debating droping the lift, b/c i really don't need it to clear these 35's on factory wheels.

I didn't notice a difference when I put it on my truck. Still averaging 18.9 mpg.

trying to figure out why my MPG's suck so bad. at 70-75 I can't average more than 17.5mpg (based on the digital gauge). my MPG's have gone down quite a bit lately.... Lifted, stock tires & wheels I'd average damn good. put the 35's on... went to heck in a hand basket. didn't think 35x12.50 AT's would do that much....

You can't go buy the "digital guage" aka the lie-o-meter it is highly inacurate, you need to figure your MPG by hand.
If you are getting 17.5 MPG that's not too bad, I know people with stock trucks that don't get that much;tu

You are still good with 17.5. What mods do you have or are you still stock? Remember we are running winter diesel right now also so things are going to change.

first thing you do, is BUST that overhead Lie-O-Meter and figure your mileage with a pencil and third grade mathematics

Mods on my 07 cc/sb fx4.... zoodad, 4" magnaflow turbo back (kitty ran off :dunno ) 35x12.50 procomp Xtreme AT's on the factory 20" wheels. 4" skyjacker kit.

I guess I really need to forget about the lieometer and do it by hand. but it's hard that way b/c the pumps don't let me "fill up". my Credit cards usually top out at $75 or $80. so I have to do a 2nd fill up and add the gallons. b/c I do my mileage calcs off of miles ran to fill up.

To get an accurate reading, you need to fill the tank up all the way, to the point that you can see the fuel, mine will take anotyer 3-4 gallons after the pump first kicks off.

By filling it this full you can duplicate it, and get an accurate mileage reading. No 2 pumps are the same, and will NOT shut off at the same fuel level, this is the ONLY way to get an accurate MPG measurement, without some serioulsy expensive equipment like fuel flow meters, etc....
