no prob....can't vouch for anyting above 4.5" although i did test drive a truck with a 6" and it rode like crap! more than likely all it is,is ( thats odd hehehe ) personal opinion. pro comp, fab tech, DHR, tuff country, ect.... But oh well one thing we can all agree to is that no matter what, with the lift they look awesome!

I mainly got Donahoe because they were the only people who made a lift for an 05 at the time, even if it was nowadays, I'd probably still go with it just because it's stiff, comfortable, and rides better than stock "(no exaggerating!):D"

Whatever you do Shag, make sure you buy what YOU want, wait for the money to come in to get exactly what you want, I had to wait 4 months that way but now my truck's exactly the way I want it (still thinking about these crappy taillights though :D)

P.S. DO NOT i repeat DO NOT lift your truck without new rims/tires, it'll look horrible with the stock rims because they'll look way too skinny for the lift, and the tires you got on now will look reeedicyulis (ridiculous)

exactly, you're tires will look just plain stupid on there, and sometimes even your rims because they're only 7 inches wide. You could fit BFGoody 37's (they measure 35's which is what I bought)

If you look at pics of my truck (in sig) then you'll see even my rims aren't as wide as I'd like, but you gotta remember the wheel wells. I wanted 1 inch taller 1 inch wider, but it would be rubbing the wheel well. My rims are 17x9's and see if you can catch onto what I'm saying

if i crank it all the way my 315's rub the leaf spring. i checked for any significant wear and it doesnt even look like its taken anyhtign of the tire, but theres a mark on the springs. so i think my **** is wide enough, but im sure they would look to short if i went up 4.5"

Yea this is because the offset of the stock wheels sucks when you have wide tires... if you get some aftermarket wheels that are 8 or 9 inches wide with 4 or 4.5" backspacing you should be good with the 315s (equivalent to 35x12.50R16) before you buy new 37s try this out and see how you like it... might save you some cash...:sweet

Poor Boy Lift

For all of you all with the 05 and up I can't complain about what I did to my truck for a few inches (3"). It took some trial and error to get the carrier bearing shimed to get rid of the knock.

I just did the 2.5 inch coil isolator (leveling puck) and the 3" tappered block in the rear.

125.00 Coil isolators, 40.00 for the blocks, 25.00 for the U-bolts and 30.00 for the carrier bearing shims. $220.00 total

Did not notice any difference from stock as far as the ride is concerened. I would have a pretty tough time paying for a high dollar lift when your only doing 3" or so. I still havent found a reason to replace the factory shocks. I have been off road a handful of times as well it did just fine.

As far as the look is concerned I get numerous compliments heading down the road. People are ofter fixated in the red puck and Rancho shocks on the front end.

It is kind of pain to get the stores to sell you the parts outside of a kit but they'll do it.

What kind of warranty issues do people have with lift kits? Does it void your powertrain warranty (ie. engine/tranny) or suspension and axles? How about the leveling kit or the little 3" lift mentioned in this thread. If I put a leveling kit and 3" blocks on the rear, am I voided?:dunno
