When I hear the word body lift my first thought is an old '85 GMC Jimmy as that's what I had done to mine back in '86 but the Excursion I haven't seen a body lift kit yet.

I know of an SDD member that has a set of New Fabtech 3-1/2" Brackets with Warrior Shackles and NIB rear F350 blocks that may still be available.:deal

Who might have these parts available. I did find a 2.5" leveling kit from jackit.com and I can also get a pair of 4.5" blocks for the rear. They say the 2.5" will clear 35" tires. Prices are pretty reasonable for keeping under my $500 budget.

Leveling kit

Looks like I may be adding a 2.5" spring pack leveling kit to the Excursion as the V codes have rested in pretty good.

Looks like the Tuff Country 2.5" progressive spring pack kit shown in the photo.

Hey if still interested in doin it with out the big money, so you can ditch the X's crappy springs, go the thedieselstop under excursions and look at the V code swaps.Heres a link to a guy who swapped out his suspension with an F-350(Im doin this right now too, but been short on time) and used a 1.5" add a leaf up front. He used the F-350 blocks in the rear but Im gonna use a set of tapered 5" blocks I got a deal on. Heres link to pics and comparisons http://good-times.webshots.com/album/557325630zCBqsQ
I got my set of F-350 springs, and shocks for $75 or 100 cant recall.Blocks were 45 shipped and th eadd a leaf through BDS was 109, and if you have them ship to a dealer its free shipping.

Heya Ryan :) We did the V code swap back in Sept 2002 and as the years went on we added a 250 lb bumper which caused the V codes to rest in close to what the D codes were at.

For the benefit and comfort of my wife and kids we decided to go with progressive rate springs so we'll have the spring travel and additional clearance.

The add a leafs I determined might be abit too firm for our taste although the price is around $90-$100 bucks for the set.

The progressive set I priced at $159 shipped including the Trac Bar relocation bracket and hardware,so for a few bucks more I can't complain.I also looked at the Edge Mini spring pack but at $300 shipped I couldn't bite.

I think in essence my front lift will be close to what X codes usually produce;)
