Well actually they had talked about it being on the agenda to get rid of the front plates this year as a cost saving measure to the state. But I never heard anymore about it. My front plate has resided in my toolbox for a couple of years now though. But I am a rebel!!

ok so we have to have one, but it doesnt specify it being actually displayed up front.
I took off my front holder so my new DRL(almost) lights would have an unemcumbered access to shine their light to the world

Well yeah it must be displayed per the law. But I am just thumbing my nose at them. If I'm pulled over I might put it back. But so far so good. I took it off for the driving lights.

Maybe the bill will come up in the next legislative session to kill the front plate. Any state would save lots of money by eliminating the front plate. Interestingly enough, all the states bordering TX require only a rear plate (NM, OK, AR, and LA)

I get a kick out of these Hollywood studio bozos who try to make movies in California look like they were shot in Florida. A dead giveaway is when they have a car with a Florida plate on the back AND THE FRONT! Not doing their homework!
