I think I can finally call it a done deal.

You can see the lift mechanism at the top left. The spring winder was handy. All I had to do was stick a hex bit into the electric drill, plug the hex bit into the wind up mechanism and let 'er rip until I had the appropriate number of turns on the torsion spring.
The new door didn't come with a lock/latch or any stiffening ribs. I salvaged the lock off the old door. I went back to Menards and got three stiffenings ribs. The door did come with a piece of aluminum angle that I put in what I figured would have been the spot of least stress.
I had to fab a bracket to re-enforce the top door section and attach the door opener to. I have to admit, I messed up and welded a tab to the wrong spot.

So I had to cut it off and put it in the right place. Oh well, at least it was a cheap mistake.
