Given no other mods. Just a 4" MBRP turbo back no kitty,
what kind of real world HP can be gained either crank shaft or rear wheel?
Has anyone dyno tested? Guessed?

I would guess around 25-30hp with a cold air intake so I would say 15hp for just exhaust. I noticed a big difference in throttle response as soon as I did the intake and exhaust it also had alot more bottom end torque.

I'm not real good at estimating horsepower. It's too much like when a woman comes up to you and says "guess how old I am". It's a no win situation.

However, way back when I foolishly got a Banks kit, I did the installation in stages. The first 2 things I did were to install the exhaust and K&N air filter. During the exhaust install, the "kitty" got loose and I couldn't catch it. :sly

So between no "kitty", a larger exhaust, and a better air filter, I saw a very noticeable S.O.T.P. improvement over stock. How many HP? I dunno:dunno , like I said I'm not good at estimating HP. But it was very significant improvement. :thumbs :D

I just installed the AFE stage II intake kit w/ Proguard 7 and the MBRP 4" turbo back dual system on my 05' F250. No chip or programmer yet. My truck lost 20 horsepower over stock. She pulled 242 hp before the install and 223 after. The guy that did the install and dyno told me she just needed more fuel in the mix. WTF!?!

Were both pulls with the same fuel in the tank, or did you have winter blend or the ultra-low sulfur fuel for the 2nd pull? Or did you just get the dyno tickets mixed up?;)

There has to be an explaination, like different dynos, different fuel or something. It just doesn't "smell" right.

I think the computer has to learn the changes you did first. Drive it about a hundred miles then re-dyno
