Leaf Springs

Earlier this year I upgraded my front leaf springs to a V code. They've settled more than I anticipated. I've got a buddy who has an '03 SD gasser that came with X code front leafs as part of his plow package. I'd like to upgrade my front springs to an X code to raise my front end a little and level out the truck.

Can I assume that an X code leaf spring on a gasser would be the same classification as an X spring that would have been installed on a diesel?

My plan would be to use his VIN to order the Xs. Doable?

the x code springs were the same regardless of gas or diesel. Just a note. I put the x's in my 350 to level out a bit and hold the plow better..... they sagged too! Don't know what the best solution is, but they ride better the the v codes.
