Largest tires -no lift...

I did a search -came up empty.

I'm looking for the largest tires I can fit on my 2001 dually with no lift.

Better yet... I'm ok with cutting the fenders for Bushwacker Cut-Outs. Tallest tires with no lift and Cut-Outs..

I need to keep the truck low and wide but need larger tires to improve approach angle.

If you don't mind cutting the fenders you can go with 44" tires or bigger. Might have to cut them up to the top of the hood but they will fit

Seriously though I think your biggest problem is going to be the width. When you go with a taller tire they are normally wider and when they get wider they are going to hit each other on a dually. I think BFG makes a tire that is 33" tall but only 10" wide, it would fit.

Yeah -I was thinking of either 35 or 38" Boggers in 10.5/11 in the rear and 14.5/15 in the front. Just wondering if anyone has tried.

My 78 only has 4" of lift and 42s and I want stick with that formula -only with no lift.

I don't know what your stock tire size is (265/75?), but I know BFG makes skinny A/T's. I know they make the 235/85/16, go to there website, or maybe give them a call?

Like Crumm said, the hardest part is the duals rubbing. Is there a way to put a spacer between the duals? I'm not sure if there is enough stud though to do that, as I don't have a dually.

Yeah -I've seen spacers.

Let's forget I have a dually...

Just largest tires that will fit the front with no lift -with or without cut out flares.

I'll get creative with the rear.

I know there is a guy with 38's and no lift on one of the other boards.

Edited: Ooops.... He's got 36" tall tires... I attached a photo of his truck.

Second edit... This same guy says 38's will fit with the trimming done right

What do Class 5/8's use?

I may be off base here, but lately i have been seeing Class 5 or 8 trucks with a single rear tire where I would expect to see duals. Anyone else seen this? Having said that, can this type of conversion be done to a dually p/u?

I think that the OP was looking forf an off road tire? Military tires may be a solution. I am thinking of the stuff I have seen on M37's. Have a look at this page for examples:
