lack of fueling

The FPR is simply a pressure regulator, theres not much that can go wrong but.......... there is a spring in there and if it is a little weak it will allow your fuel pressure to fall off. Thats why we "shim" it with a BB or a cap screw with an adjustable nut. This way we can increase the tension on the spring resulting in higher fuel pressure.

I would agree with 95_stroker and suggest you change your fuel filter first. Not enough fuel at the top end sounds like a restriction in the fuel and the filter is a restriction if it is dirty.

yep, as they just said. I just changed my filter today for scheduled maintenance. My truck was running fine, but changing the filter netted me 2 psi on my gauge. Bryan

ok i changed the filter, cleaned the fuel screen,and adjusted the fuel pressure
although on the pressure when I started in was 50-60 after the filter and screen it was still 50-60 then i adjusted the pressure all i got was 65-75and arnt we shooting for 75-85. by the way how are you guys getting 4-40 cap screws in cuz there aint no way you can get something that big i my spring let alone the housing. after all that work i went and ran my test hill and
I LOST 5 MPH AND 100° on my egts. Any ideas???????

Here is a 4/40 cap screw laying amongst the rest of the FPR parts. It fits, its in mine. I am beginning to think you have injector issues.
