i have an 07 f250 i have just replaced the injector pump and cleaned egr it was throwing a code for the injector pump as well as p0404 after clearing codes and driving it starts hard and stumbles on itself during take off untill the rpms get between 1500 - 2000 then goes like hell but cet came back on with po4o1 po4o2 po4o3 all egr related pulled egr back out and it is wet with black goo all over it a little help please :dunno new to the diesel world understand how they work just not all the new stuff

Welcome to SSD.com, a 6.0 need to have someone drive it hard ever now and then, that keeps the goo down. Change the oil and filter ever 5000 miles and change the fuel filters ever 10,000 to 15,000 miles and buy your fuel where they sale a lot and have fresh fuel. If you see a tanker unloading fuel then go some other place to buy fuel this time.
Sure that is more than you wanted to know.

Being new to the world of the 6.0 you have a lot of thing to take in here is a good place to start on the ground floor have a look here to start :dizzy

pulled egr back out and it is wet with black goo all over it a little help please :sorry this is not good if it is damp you EGR cooler is bad and if it is bad your oil cooler is right behind it. Here is one of the best on the market if you are out of warranty BulletProofDiesel - Darn-Near Bullet Proof Diesel Products for your 6.0 are you over 100k yet if not take it to Ford for HELP (EGR cooler & oil cooler) a good set of gauges would help like the Edge Insight you can only have 15 degs. difference in EOT & ECT if more the coolers are plugged with casting sand. One of these will help to remove the casting sand they are a must.
