Hey Fellas,

I want my 2006 F-350 DRW to make 500hp at the rear wheels and about 800-1000ft-lbs. of torque at the rear wheels. What would be your suggestions as to how I could get there?

Here are the assumptions that you can all make:

1). I don't race or sled pull
2). My truck is an everyday driver
3). Gauges are a given (EGT, boost, tranny)
4). Sun Coast or BTS tranny is on the way
5). ARP studs are on the way
6). I frequently pull a 14k 5th wheel trailer
7). I want to keep this truck for a LONG time.......luv my 6.0L

*****3,4, and 5 will be in place before ANY other mods

Even though my sig says a "Banks" system, I'm just not so sure any more:dunno

Given the above scenario:

1. What turbo would you suggest?
2. What exhaust?
3. What tuner/programmer?
4. What injectors?
5. What fuel system?
6. What air intake?
7. What drugs would you put on it?

Surely, some of you guys MUST be easily spitting out these numbers already:sweet

Your Thoughts?

1) Turbo, I would say to keep it simple get the VGT-SS from Elite. (It's a modified stock turbo)
2)Exhaust, Any 4" system will fit your needs. MBRP seems to be the most popular systems. (Mine is a custom job from a local shop, way cheaper)
3)Tuner, Definitely get a custom tuned SCT. You'll need a custom tuned program to run bigger injectors/turbo upgrade. The tuner alone will get you to about 400 wheel HP.
4)Injectors, I would say either 190's or 225's should work for that range without going to extreme.
5)Fuel system, You'll need a full regulated return system (from tank to engine and back) to supply larger injectors with enough fuel to keep them from running dry.
6) Air intake, stock is fine up until about 500 HP. After that I would say Airaid, AFE, etc. Pick one you like and go with it. But do research to see how other people like it before you buy it.
7) Drugs, If you want quick bursts go with NOS. If you want a continuous supply of a little HP, then go with propane. However, your tuning MUST be adjusted to run propane to avoid damage. And always keep it in moderation, IE manufactures specs.

I'll be there eventually, but it costs $$$ and active duty don't pay that well.
