ipods, psp's, movies on a laptop (strapped to the center console)
or just plain conversation.

My wife drove 1400 miles w/ 'em (in 2 days) and i never ONCE
heard that anyone was bored...

we're gearheads so we do pay particular attn to cool cars and motorcycles
and we do shake our heads @ motorcyclist "posers" or those that
dont wear helmets...

I used to count Fords on the road when I was a kid. I guess I was a real backseat driver in the young days. I was told that I would be shiftn' gears and making truck noises  I don't remember that.

Bill, when I was younger, I used to take a pad and pencil and keep a "stick count" of vehicles we saw going the opposite direction. I usually counted only the "main" brands (Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Olds, GMC, and so on). After awhile I'd get tired and quit, or just count Fords and Chevys, depending on the traffic. It's a great way to recognize vehicles.

Yup, ya got them trained real well. :thumbs My experience is that what ever vehicle is new to you...you tend to [think you] see more of them on the road then before you bought it. It has happened to me in a Volvo and BMW years ago...and these days I can sniff out an OBS PSD really easy. :D

My kids seem to keep themselves entertained on long trips by seeing how long it takes to irritate me  Yesterday afternoon we went about 30 minutes out of town for a picnic and to do some shooting. On the way home I made the turn onto the road that takes us to our house and my middle boy ask me if we were home ??? I said "what does it look like?" He told me he could not look as he was in the middle of a game on his PSP  Anyone know how to operate this PSP thingie that I now have? :roflmao
