Hi guys,
just an opinion thread. I have 2.5 years left on a motor warranty. 5 years to pay for the truck. is it insane to keep this motor with out a warranty? I was looking for a keeper truck but not sure after reading into this? maybe i should not read so much about it? Any thought? any one with high mileage out there that likes the truck?

if you dont have any problems by 100k miles
then i SERIOUSLY doubt youll have any problems.

if you have problems and you cant get 'em resolved by 5yrs/100k miles
THEN you might have a decision to make...its mechanical, parts are
gonna break and wear out....wanna reduce the pain of fixing it ? do
at least SOME of the work yourself.

ever keep any of your other cars (or trucks) after the warrenty expired ?

138,000 on mine, but of course i ran out of my 36k warr. before i had it for one full year, and ran out of the 100k warr. before 2 years were up.

i still owe 2 years on mine, but it doesnt make since to me to get a new vehicle every 2 or 3 years. i think most people loose money when the do that. it just makes more sence to me to keep it and drive it.

i know some people are never satisfied with a car/truck that is over 2 years old, they are constantly trading for the "best new thang" and they are never content with what they have.

if it aint broke or giving you trouble, just keep on puttin on the miles. if my truck continues to do good, i will probably keep it for a long time and pass it on to my oldest son.

he already has plans to put STACKS on it when he gets it. :sweet

service counts

my 04 has 350,000k now (k x .621=miles) with very few problems. I'm shooting for a million. I may have to swap out the drivers seat..one of my guyz is a tad heavy (lol) n it's taking it's toll on the cushion. Anyone know ifn a fella could swap the right-hand seat for the drivers'?
BTW:hail , off-topic but Michelin M+S or XPS seem to stand up much better on the front-end of diesel-powered units than any other tire I've tried.

Be well!
