I leave my doors unlocked too. Unlocked doors keep the glass from getting broken. I might add that there is nothing worth stealing in my truck other than maybe the cheap Pioneer stereo, jack and a tool box.

Same here, but I do lock my doors. Mainly out of habit. I must say, I may be gettin a Jeep Wrangler here shortly and it's soft top. It has some serious money tied up in the stereo. Any good alarm for these?, as they are EXTREMELY easy to break into.

I've got a Clifford, I can't think of the model #, but it's there top of the line (read most expensive) with remoter start, and pager. I had them install an aux. motion sensor. I can leave my windows down and arm the alarm, if you or anyone were to reach through the open window it will sense it and set off the alarm, I think a set up like this would be great for the jeep. Also it has a claimed 1 mile range for the pager, remote start and all other functions. I've tested it at about 1/2 a mile and it works fine, never tried a full mile.

The viper & the clifford are all pretty much the same...owned by the same
PARENT company (along w/ 9 others alarm brands)....the better alarms
will have the increased distance coverage (2way paging/alert key fobs),
remote start, cool down timers, window roll-up/roll-down and IR / motion
sensors for the interior.

youll want to HIDE the amps as much as possible (if they arent already),
and a removable radio FACE is a MUST <if they cant see or determine
the brand> they wont bother stealing something they cant pawn.

I have a Jeep Wrangler TJ soft top and have not had any problem todate. My amp and other stuf fit behind the tumble seat and are bolted down to the floor and I pull the face plate on the radio.
