can u smell the sweet aroma on my fingers....:D just changed the fuel filter under the hood - since dealer did not do it last week when they did the fuel pump/filter.:dunno

while poking around under the hood, checking anything/everything, i found the following:

1. loose battery connection terminal bolt, driver side pos., nut almost off and a really loose neg. bolt. - thanks dealership!
2. lots of oil gunk buildup under the black cac boot. :( i wiped it off. can i tighten it? dealer says its normal and not to tighten it. only recently notice this problem. check later to see if it is a problem.
3. got on the creeper to check on the status of the stabilizer links/bushings, since dealer says they are shot. found nothing, so does one need to jack up the front to take weight off to check that sort of thing.:dunno
4. more of a question here; off the top of my head, why can't a person take a leaf from the rear and put it up front? besides the obvious that the rear load capacity would decrease. it would also lower the rear and raise the front. anyone see why this would work or not work?-popcorn super cheap leveling kit........

I am not sure on the leaf spring thing but I would imagine that they could be different lengths/widths and have different eye sizes. Just a gues.

how do you change the fuel filter(s) and forget one...theyre a PAIR in
the SAME box....did they refund your money ? (this is why i do my own
work...you pay 'em and they STILL dont do it right).

re: the CAC tube blow by...its from the crank case venting (or not)...since
the epa says you cant vent to the atmosephere...the blow by just winds up
in circulating

re: the bushings it should be fairly obvious if the factory bushings
are shot (or torn)...its not necessary to jack the truck up to see
or determine their condition....wiggle the drop links and examine
all four of those & the 2 bushings holding the bar itself.

you can replace the bushings w/ BETTER, LONGER LASTING,
HIGHER PERFORMING bushings for about 35 bucks (energy suspension
is the mfg of replacement bushings) and you can install 'em yourself.

you can get the bushings (if you need 'em) in red or black from the likes
of summit racing dot com.

does this help

don't ask me. i was told on the phone the filters were replaced. not the pump. when i got to picking up the truck, the invoice said only pump replaced and no mention of filters. when i called he verified that only the framerail filter w/ pump was replaced. i tried to go buy only the little filter, i knew better, tried anyway. went to the dealer, said i wanted the filter. ser.mgr. went to get it for me. you know the rest of the story.

but should it be venting to the atmosphere by leaking?? never noticed it b4

well, it aint that obvious then cause they all looked solid. but something sure makes a ton of racket hitting every bump in the road. that is what the stealership said is wrong..
