Anyone in the know be able to tell me if the 06 mods, programmers etc will work with the new 2007 Ford ECM/PCM programming or have there even been any significant changes in the programming. The book says that computer monitors and records any power adding modifications. Is this true or do the programmers just work around the little black box in the truck with out the computer even really knowing it is there?

I must be sick.... the truck don't even have more that 600 miles and already I'm wondering about mods...is there any hope for me???:dunno

congrats on the new ride. as far as i know, there is no cure for the terminal illness known as PMS, Powerstroke Mod Syndrome. Once you get it, you have it forever. you will experience feelings of never having enuff power, never enuff torque, never enuff gadgets, and so on. the only thing that might help ease these symptoms, would be to start saving your money to purchase future mods. once you have enuff money for the desired mod and make that purchase, you will experience a sence of gratification, until the next PMS episode occurs.

all of the doctor talk aside, i am not sure that i can answer your ? i think your truck would still have the current 6.0 setup. even tho yours is a "2007," its build date is in 2006, which i believe is diff. that when the 2007's are actually built in the calender year 2007. there are some owners year that have trucks like yours, that have done mods to their trucks. someone help me out here on this one, again, i am not the most knowledgeable about this ?

enjoy the truck and be patient about what you want to do to your truck.:thumbs

I got my 06 about this time last year and found out at the Texas Rally that it has an 05 eng in it, so I think it would be safe to say that you have a 06 eng in your 07 truck.

Thanks for all the insight guys....I guess now all I need to do is figure out which mods work best for the 6.0. I do like the idea of the full package deal from Banks but they would have to agree that if I wasn't satisfied with the additional power, they would get their package back. I do agree that if you are going to change one thing you need to change it all to reep the maximum benifit from the mod. (big exhaust requires big intake, and both allow you to burn additional fuel creating more power, increased fuel/power results in more boost, more bost can push a larger turbo, then you are starting back a square one).

What exhaust sounds the best?
Which programmer leaves the least amount of trace in the computer?
Which air intake works best for maximum cold air intake?
Are their any warranty friendly mods available?

Just fresh out of a Dodge 5.9 CTD HO and so far the PSD don't impress me much. I'm hopping that it is just in break in mode and that things will improve over time, otherwise I love the truck. I currently have 1500 miles on it so far. How long should I wait?-popcorn

your truck should have the new heads which are basiclly 6.4 heads , they are supposed to hold up better and provide more parts availibility

mbrp 4" no cat with muffler sounds Darn good :sweet

Am I to understand that the new heads and bolts are the answer to the "COOLANT PUKE" issue that has plagued the 03-05 6.0L???:thumbs

What was the cause of this issue, was it due to running too much boost, excess heat or just poor head bolts?

I have a buddy that has an Edge Attitude for his 06 and has replaced it with a Bully Dog programmer. If the Edged will work on the 07, is it any good?

Is there a break in period before the Superduty will begin making power? Sofar I am not terribly impressed even compared to my stock 5.9L Cummins:sorry :dunno

Kusto thats odd that you say your truck feels lacking. We have an F-250 4 door short bed for our work truck and its plenty powerful, just in the shop a lot, I believe its an 05.It'll smoke the tires at any given moment... and is pretty damm fast too.It would smoke em way quicker and easier than my 03 duramax with an Edge in it.

mille, hard to explain, maybe it's the leather seats, but it just don't seem to have the torque that the Cummins had (stock to stock) and I kinda miss it. Not trying to slam the PSD but it just isn't pulling as hard. Maybe it was in the transmission upgrades I had done on the Dodge?:dunno
