I've been to Aruba but only flying through. We go to Bonaire about once a year and while it doesn't have as much to do for non-divers it's pretty similiar to what you describe. When we started going 10 years ago I wasn't used to "European" standards and my eyes bugged out the first time we went to the beach and there were 5-10 girls that were maybe 19-20 running around topless. :)

Have a good one,
Dave

I just saw on the news that a teenage girl from Alabama went for a trip to Aruba and is now missing. Her family is down there and now the FBI is there looking for her.

Ever since I became a diver,I have always wanted to go to Aruba! Everything I have seen and heard was great.
But as BigDaddy just pointed out even the nice places Bad things happen.

we went to Aruba two winters ago, it was snowing here when we left :thumbs and sunny and 85* there, it was great, we stayed at the Wyndam hotel/casino and loved every minute of it, I would like to head back!
we went on a snuba trip, (wife didnt like it) but down in the coral, things that looked like rocks ect, were actually fish, took some great underwater pic's with a cheap unerwater camera.
I have a daughter that age, that is a parents biggest fear, you want your kids to have fun and experience things like that, but you are always concerned about it? kids that age think they are invincable, hopefully she is found safe! my prayers go out to her and her family for a safe return.
My daughter and her buddies hang out at our house alot, some of the things they say and do.... they would never think soemthing like this could happen.
