I have a question though... do I really need to do the transmission relearn? when I got the 3 day trial, I had to do no such thing. Just wondering what you all did. I am not looking to race and I dont have gauges. I have it tuned to the 30% level of 0-100%. and that setting doesnt need gauges ... any information would be helpfull!

Thanks , Jeremy ~Vegas

Jeremy, is your truck a 6.0 or 7.3, Please feel in your signature.
I think you need gauges on a stock truck.

Sig is updated. my truck is a 2004 6.0, automatic trans, and 4 wheel drive. I dont tow alot but when I do its usually between 3000-10000 lbs. other than that its a get around town, and haul the toys to the edge of town truck.

You say that you think even a stock truck needs gauges. doesnt adding gauges to your truck make you dealer suspucious of upgrades and void your warranty ?

How to create your signature right Here :sweet

Anytime you modify the programming of the truck,a properly trained tech will find the bread crumb trail but adding gauges will not foul a warranty nor will a cat back exhaust system.

With the 5r110 transmission that you have, you really should do the relearn procedures for it. If you don't you can cause a lot of premature wear, it just helps the computer adjust the line pressures and shift firmness so that you are less likely to smoke the clutch pack, wether it's 30 more HP or 150 more, it's cheap, nearly free, insurance to preserve and extend the life of your tranny.

And, YES, guages are a must on a diesel, even a stock one. If you're worried about your warranty, you should never have put the bullydog on it to start with, even after removed the techs can tell it was there.

Hey guys, what exactly is a relearn? I'm probably gonna get something like a Hyperpac soon. Will there be a mention about a relearn in the booklet with a programmer. :dunno
