We have never owned a diesel truck before, we purchased our 16 year old daughter a new 2010 F-250 4 door Lariat truck this summer. She grew up on a farm and really handles thr truck well. It really is something and she turns a lot of heads driving it.

We could not locate a solid black truck anywhere locally , the Ford factory located the truck in Purcell, OK , Jessica and I flew out to Nashville Tenn on 08-16 to get the truck. The dealer in OK , agreed to drive it that far to meet us over 1/2 way

I joined to seek advice from time to time and hopefully help someone in the future.

Lastly , the dealer Marc Heitz Ford was super to deal with, highly recomended.

Thanks
David

Welcome to SSD.com David. I bet she does turn a lot of heads driving that big ole truck.
What does she pull with it? If I had a 16 year old daughter I think I would feel that she is safer in a F-250 SD than a match-box.

Thanks for the note Doug , Jessica's grandfather grows just over 300 acres of Tabacco. Jessie helps her grandmother mostly by pulling tobacco trailers from the field to the barn.

So far no need to pull anything heavier.

So far we have had to install a chrome tool box and a chrome fuel door.

She is killing us on fuel, to get the truck home from OK. took ~1,400 miles , that was 08-16, the truck now has just over 9k miles.

We will be very glad when she gets tired of driving this truck.

If her grandmother ask her to go to the grocey store to get something , she always seems to end up at the store 20 miles away instead of the one 4 miles away.

Lastly , safety was a very big part of the decision.

She had been asking for one of these trucks for 2 years.

A teacher at her scool recently asked her how it is that she can drive her fathers truck to school every day??

She told him , YA KIDDING , my father wishes he could drive my truck to work

Thanks
David
