Sorry I have not been around, this month has been really busy with work and the passing of my dad. As of yesterday I have a contract on the house. Been looking for a house in Tennessee and not found anything I like and close to work. Not liking the Idea of a one hour trip one way to work.

You might want to rent a place and do some looking around, after you are there. That is what I did when I moved up to Ukiah. Took me almost two months to find my house. Sorry to hear about your Father's passing, Dogman.

Sorry to hear about your dad, that kinda knocks the wind out of your sail for a while.
We lived in our fifth-wheel for 3 mo while we looked for a home when I was
transferred from Texas to Arkansas. Good luck on selling your old place and
good luck on finding the new one.

Sorry about your dad. He's in a better place. I lost my dad in 1991 and my mom last August. My dad's last surviving first cousin passed a couple of weeks ago so his generation is now gone. Just treasure your memories. As far as a new place, I agree with others, rent a place for awhile. Rent month to month, not an annual lease so it will be easier to move when you find your permanent place.
