those that havent done it allready...

Colder/Cooler temps are here. Time to check yer Tire Pressures, Wiper blades, Batt levels & connections. Belts, Fluid levels'n so on.

Did my 2K & Windstar this past weekend, found the useual 3 to 5+ pound dif in tire pressures (spares too!). Wiper blades dryed out. Needed a touch of PS fluid & Coolant. Batts were good but worth check'n.

I am in denial. It is currently 60 degrees here and it is not going to freeze this winter, no preparation required :innocent :crumm

Cant believe the weather down here.. 74* yesterday, 46 last night. Should be 40-50 during the day, 30s at night. Only .004 of rain so far. Indian Summer I guess.

Found acouple Lug Nuts a bit loose too, during my Summer to Winter check out.

had mine serviced a few weeks ago, tires balanced and rotated, new brake pads all the way around, and new ball joints goin' in on both sides today.

To Do List:
1. New wiper blades (any particular ones that ya'll would recommend?)
2. Re-check Tire pressure on truck & trailer
3. Re-torque bolts on 5th. wheel hitch (make sure they are all snug)

anything else ya'll can think of?

I use the Rain-X tripple blades (Wally World:dunno ) Theyr Garonteeed fer life, got mine 5 years ago but replacedm 3 times FREE.

2. Re-check Tire pressure on truck & trailer

Dont fergit yer spares ?

3. Re-torque bolts on 5th. wheel hitch (make sure they are all snug)

I crawled under the truck and chinched down on the "thru the bed" bolts. found one that took a 1/4 turn.

anything else ya'll can think of?

Dont know bout the rest of ya'll but I crawl over, around and under EVERYTHING. Give everything a Tweak Check.... I/C/Intake boot clamps, Coolant hose clamps, fuel lines, oil lines, electrical connections....yul be suprized what you can find sometimes. Lota dis-similar melals at connections (brass/steel into aluminum or iron, so on)... Things con-tract at different rates as the weather changes. If it's tight (?) don't tweak it. If it'l take a RCH (?).. as compared to the other fitting, on the same component(s) go with yer gut.

Maybe abit of Overkill, on my part, but I'v found... what I thought was a part gitn ready to Take a Dump, because of a leak.. was a connection/seal/gasket/bolt/nut, that just needed a Tweak. Because of not only time and miles, but temprature changes too.

very good advice big joe, i will try and do that too.

as far as checkin the air in the spare, i took mine out to make room for the TRAIN HORNS, but i guess i could make sure my air line connections are good and tight, as not to lose any "loudness" pressure. :roflmao :roflmao :D
