I was at a local auto parts store today when a guy there asked me about my truck. I gave him a little history about whats in it and what not. He asked me how much HP and torque I have. I told him I think I have around 500 HP and 800 ft/lbs torque. He then told me that he has a 05 duramax with just a Bully dog chip and a exhaust (didnt specify what exhaust) and that he had dyno'ed 800 HP and over 1100 ftl/lbs torque. I had all i could do not to laugh in his face at that out right lie. Then the really funny part came, his wife just bought a 07 King Ranch a couple days ago!!!!! :roflmao :roflmao :roflmao LOL I guess he is just jealous of the PSD. :thumbs

i have the same set-up as you kevin. did you also change the intercooler, air intake, and boost tubes?

the reason i ask, is that i dynoed at 381HP & 737TRQ, and mine is the same year as yours.

i thought i would be around 450HP, but not even close.

i really dont think yours would be close to 500HP.

No I havent changed the intercooler yet. I am planning on a Banks intercooler with new tubes and the high ram. I do have the airaid intake that is great. I have never dyno'ed thats why I told him I think I have 500 / 800. When I add up all the supposed gains, thats what they equal.
What level do you drive around on normally with your system. I am still trying to figure it out to get the best combo for mileage and power. I am doing a trip from here (NC) to MA. for christmas and plan to try a couple different setting on the trip.

when i am not towing, i usually keep it on 6 all the time. i have kept up with mileage in all positions at one time or the other. i really didn't see that big a diff. from one level to the next.

i normally get around 16 to 17 mpg on the HWY. if i am pulling my 36ft. 2 car hauler trailer, i have gotten 13 mpg on level 3.

i did receive some graphs from banks a few months ago, and with the big hoss bundle i put on, compared their findings with the dyno readings, they were right on target for the 6.0., they showed no HP over 400. my HP in level one was only around 230. it was kinda dissappointing.

now dyno's can differ from each other, may depend on the dyno opperater, and the dyno itself.

there was one member here that had an '04 with the big hoss bundle and he dynoe'd on a mustang dyno i believe, and it read he was at 480HP or so.

go figure. the first chance i get, i would like to put mine on a mustang dyno to see what it has to say.

mine was done on a dynojet.

Did you get a baseline dyno test before you did any mods? I ask because stock power is supposed to be 325HP and 560lb/ft torque. Level one is supposed to be stock. level two 20% and so on.

I usually drive around in level 3 or 4 on normal basis. I guess I have been afraid of breaking something if i kept it on level 6. I did have it on 5 and 6 this weekend though for some fun. I dont care what the dyno numbers say. It is incredible in level 6!!!!

Your truck is very nice by the way, I am jealous of the horns. I can tell you put a lot of thought into your truck.

I used to have a Banks Stinger kit on my 7.3. (Emphasis on USED TO HAVE) After I put it all on, I was a disappointed in the ammount of power increase I was feeling in the seat of my pants. It seemed to be falling short of the advertised numbers. That was until I went back and more closely looked at Bank's own test data.

What Banks does is rate their systems at the most amount of power gain at any given point along the power curve and not necessarilly the increase at max power. For example, if there is a 100 ft/lbs increase of torque at 1800 rpm, but the increase at peak torque is only 50 ft/lbs at 2500 rpm, they rate or claim a 100 ft/lbs increase in their advertising. That is why I was disapointed in the performance of my Banks kit and why I no longer have the stuff on my truck.

that 325HP stock is at the flywheel, not RWHP.

i did not get any baseline numbers before any mods were dont, wished i had.

and thanks for the compliments. i still got a lot of ideas in mind for the ole PSD.

I was just looking at Diesel Power Magazine and the Lone 6.0 dyno'd around 315 HP and 663 ft/lbs with the Banks 6 gun/speed loader combo. I was a little dissapointed at the #'s. I have seen a 06 w/a Triple dog dyno at 378 at Dog Day's of Summer, but it was on a Mustang, not a Superflow.

On edit: It also shows he had the Technicooler and High Ram Elbow.

Hate to break it to you but youre no closer to 500 hp than the duramax kid is to 800 hp. The only way to silence the chatter is to put them on the rollers. Although with the mods he said he has and the ones you list...... he just might have a few more ponies than you do under the hood.
