Again what DP said.. I don;t think you've found the right fuse, It's a Maxi fuse, under the hood.

Thanks everyone, I did find a blown maxi fuse under the hood. But even after i replaced it the truck wont start.

Starting to think its going to be a trip to the shop/dealer.

which fuse is it? tell us the number. we can help you help yourself, but we are not going to come down there and do it for you.

the rest htat i am writing about is assuming that its the one that all of us keep telling you to check.

if you just change the fuse without disconnecting the component that is shorted out, its just going to blow again. think about it.

i will bet you a big bowl of chili and a beer that its the one we are telling you to check and 9 times in 10 its going to be the fuel bowl heater. its tied to the PCM circuit. trust us.

you do not need the fuel bowl heater, esp in florida. if you do not unplug it, it WILL blow the fuse again.

i will give you that the one in the wiki is for 94-97 heaters, but you will get the idea of what. where and how too.

TikiWiki : 94-97 PSD Fuel Heater Upgrade

just to be sure and everyone clear, have you done anything else to your truck? chip? batteries?

i see that you have a bully dog listed too- i would pull it as well. assuming that its a piggy back style one.

TikiWiki : Selectable/flip chip install

The other things on that circuit of the fuse is
Fuel bowl heater
PCM Power relay
ignition switch
waste gate solenoid

did you mess with the wastegate solenoid recently?

it could be bad too. unplug the fuel bowl heater AND the wastegate solenoid electrical connector and then try another fuse.

****UPDATE****
Replaced the 20 amp MAXI fuse for the PCM and unplugged the bowl heater yesterday.

Got a jumpstart from a 350 this morning and it started up and ran fine. I think all the trouble shooting yesterday drained down the batteries enough that once I fixed the issue they didn't have the juice to turn the truck over.

Thanks to everyone who helped out with this!!

Now, since the truck will be in Maryland for the winter should I fix the fuel bowl heater ASAP. or can it wait till I'm back home, with my own tools and garage?

it can wait..
I wouldn't think it would get cold enough in Maryland (especially closer to the coast) to gel the fuel.. in the upper Midwest, definitely.. Maryland, not so much.

mine broke at the onset of winter one year, and it wasn't until about 13 months later, when we had an extended snap of below zero weather did I have to fix it.

get the IHC knock-off part from NAPA (etc.) when you do it.. heavier heater element than the thin-wire Ford one, and about half the price of the Ford one as well.
