I've learned that, while in the navy, nothing is going to happen until it acctually happens. You are not on going to go on leave and visit family until the moment that you are on the plane leaving for home. That being said, the boat is gone on deployment (without me :woot ), all of my stuff was taken from my house in two hours (these guys are quick), I turned in my truck to Matson for them to ship to Charleston, SC (its going to be a long month) and tomorrow I am leaving this rock for the last time. Its really happening, I am off of the boat.

I don't think anything is going to prepare me for the blast of cold air that is going to greet me in Houston on Saturday. It was in the 40's last time I checked. I don't have any cold weather stuff. This might not be good. Anyway, all you Texans out there keep an eye out. You will spot me. I'll be the guy with five shirts and two jackets on still shaking like crazy. Its kind of funny to think back during Chrismas time and showing up at the mall here in shorts and flip flops and seeing a bunch of snowflakes and other Christmas stuff up all over the place. It just doesn't seem right. Well I'm about to be reminded what cold is. Wish me luck and if you see me out there I like my hot chocolate with marshmallows in it.:cold 3

We got this crazy white stuff on the ground here in the DFW area.;) Not sure what it is, but it sure freaked a lot people out around here. I think Dallas had to pull out BOTH of their snow plows.:roflmao :roflmao :roflmao

Right now, 40s would be T-shirt weather. Highs in the single digits, lows below zero....in Ohio of course.

And several cocaine junkies were seen south of town whooping and hollering, yelling "It's raining blow!" Just wait until they try to snort some. Talk about a brain freeze!

Yep, it was 16 here this morning as I was pulling the Fifth Wheel out of it's parking spot. I am headed to South (RGV) Texas. Sure hope it warms up down there soon. Welcome back to the mainland.
