Sorry in advance for the ignorant questions but......:dunno

I am going to pick up a set of gauges and exhaust but would like some info before i jump(Thanks in advance)

1. I am looking at either a tri or quad pillar from isspro. The three main gauges will be PYRO,Trans And boost (obviously). If i get the quad should the fourth gauge be fuel pressure or something else? Or is the 4th gauge a waste of money?

2. I am going to get an mbrp system straight piped (maybe a muffler depending on the locals- DEFINATELY NO KITTY). Does the 5" sound better than the 4" and is the 304 that much better than 409? I am leaning towards the 4" 409 but i would like to buy it right the 1st time.

Thanks again you guys are always more than helpful!!!;tu

:dunno I went with a 4 gauge pillar mount. EGT, Boost, Trans/engine Temp, the fourth being Fuel Pressure.

Monitoring Fuel Pressure as well RPMs, EGTs & Boost during a hard pull helps in.. when and what gear to shift to. JMO.

5" exhaust ? :dunno.. Maybe some of the 5" guys will jump in.

Just My .03

OBTW.. There are NO ignorant questions on here. Ask Away

inmo the more data points you can monitor the better.

I think if i were gonna add a 4th gauge it would be the
HPOP...an important data point...and the only folks that
make the hpop gauge are dipricol and its only available
from itpdiesel

theres lots of options for the 4th gauge, rear diff, fuel pressure,
coolant temp, oil temp, volts...all are worth consideration...but
the hpop is unique to our trucks and even if you add it later
it might be good to go w/ the dipricol nows so you can add it and
match later.

id go w/ the mbrp turbo back w/ cat delete 4", the 5" provides
no additional performance benefit since it doesnt go 5" until
after the cat anyway.

X2....plus it will be a bit louder with 5" exhaust and will cost a bit more....
also the 304 is a better quality stainless then the 409. it will last alot longer...hope this helps

The HPOP gauge sounds pretty interesting. At least then you'll know when the truck's fitting is ready to come unglued. Would have saved me a tow.
