Mike, that looks like where a wastegate acuator would bolt to.

Ah, I bet youre right.

How many bolts does the flange on the EX housing have? Is there only two bolts holding the non-EBPV housing?

There should be three. You can see the front one but the two on the rear side arent visible in that pic.

Is that the way your non-WG exhaust housing is? The SD's have more than just 3 bolts on the EBP housing.

the NonEBPV housing has 3 bolts and bolts on exactly like ours.theturbo pedistal appears to be identicle to ours also.so im thinking this may be an easier/cheaper way to get the pedistal without the EBPV actuator instead of spending the money to buy one that somebody cut up and welded.

So the early PSD EBP housings are different than SD's I've seen? Guess it has to do with the wastegated housing.

I used to see non-ebpv housings that fit the SD's on vendor's sites. Now I can't find anyone with them. Guess the new old stock has run out.:dunno

I think Powerstrokeshop had the pedistals like Bob that's already been stated.

That would make the whole ehaust housing a different ball game huh?

Here is an exh housing from the 94-97 my's. Note the three holes for the epbv housing.

I have more than five, went and tried to count them but it's dark and the MAG light is MIA. I looked at the WIKI EBPV removal article a little and can't tell how many bolts there are but more than three for sure.

I have a pic in my webshots of a SD EBPV housing, and I count 7 bolts. The exhaust housings are different for OBS vs. SD. It looks to me like Ford uses the same turbo(non-wastegated) for the vans as International does for their trucks. I worked on a 2000 PSD van and it looked exactly like the turbos I have seen on International trucks I have worked on. Do you guys think the International non-EBPV housing would work on our turbos, thereby letting us run a bigger downpipe on that flange?

Hey Rich, did you notice how the intake wye is setup? I have been kicking around the idea of using the International wye and compressor outlet pipe on my truck when I put in an intercooler. To me it seems that the factory wye on our trucks chokes the driver's side of the motor for air, where as the SD trucks the wye looks like it would restrict air to the passenger side. IMHO, I think the International wye would work better, even distribution of air to each side of the motor, plus it would be different than what everyone else does.

Just an idea I have been kicking around,
Dave

i really didnt look at it.butin order for it to work on our trucks we will need the bigger intake plenums or adapter boots,an intercooler or some way to loop the outlet to the inlet.

also please do not post these pics on "the other site.if guys over there wanna see them they should come here.
