intercooler hoses have oily residue!

i notice my turbo to intercooler hoses have oily residue, is that normal, they don't semm to be cracked or ripped, i haven't taken them off, for inspection could the oily residue be my egr cooler leaking and going to the turbo is that possible.

This is normal. The oil system is sealed and does not vent to the outside air. The oil is from the crankcase vent. Use a good oil cutting solvent to clean the hoses before you put them back on. If you don't you will blow that hose off on some lonely road at night.

Yes on what Dave said and use hair spray on the hoses before you put them back on.
