Just got back into town went and saw George Strait in Arkansas last weekend

Yes it was a great show.....Miranda Lambert, Tracy Lawrence and George Strait. third time Ive seen Strait. He just gets better with age.

I have only seen George Strait once. It was 1981 or 82 at The State Fair of Texas. I was about 9 at the time, had heard some of his songs in my dads truck before. I sat on the edge of the stage about 5 feet from him for an hour or so. I remember no more than 30 people in the croud to watch him.

I saw George Strait at the Bryce Jordan Center on Penn State's University Park Campus in September of '96 (still have the ticket stub) and it was the classiest concert I've ever been to. I've seen other shows that were more raucous/louder/flashier but nothing that had his level of comfort with the music and no need to glitz things up with special effects.

The concert I was referring to was a free concert, becuase he was a nobody at the time. He was just simply on a stage in the food court.
