and...ok, I'm an idiot  but what is the 4" metal tube supposed to hook into? I suppose it is inline with the turbo intake, but why? Is that the section that the stock system sucks the vapors into the turbo? If so, what happens to the turbo when it loses all that lubricant, is that a problem?

Anybody done this with the aFE intake tube to the turbo?

Its inline between the two factory rubber hoses.

Since you are rerouting the ccv tube out of the factory plastic connecting tube you are going to leave a large hole that must be plugged. You also will continue to have the air flow obstruction with the old tube. The 4" metal tube omits both these problems.

The turbo shaft gets pressurized oil from the pedistal. The oil vapors from the CCV are not for lubraication.

Yes it's been done with the AFE intake system.

CCV Mod

Just did the CCV Mod today. Was pretty easy even though the small hose didn't want to come loose. So far I haven't seen any tell tale mist/smoke from the hose. Got to love cheap mods!!:thumbs
