Inside my turbo

This is the intake side of my 33k turbo, the red stuff on the one vane is not blood, I checked with my Junior CSI Blood Detection and Testing kit :roflmao

How much oil or better yet how thick should the oil film be inside the housing??

Looks like the coating on one of the vanes has come off??? I'll give you one guess where it ended up.....melted to the top of one of your pistons no doubt.

Oooops forgot about this one :sorry

According to Ryan Bean at BDP, there is no coating on the turbo vanes, it is paint, that is used for RPM pickup when balancing the turbo.

hmmm this looks familiar, yep its a balance mark so the optical pick up can see the blade and use it as a master point of reference during the bablancing of said turbine.

your intake snout looks pretty darn clean
