Ok I'm trying to figure out something. I replaced cyl 5 injector due to code being thrown, now 2 days later cyl 1 is throwing the code. Is this going to be a on going problem, I can't afford to replace one injector after another?

How many miles do you have and what year?
Multiple injector failures point to a common contributing factor. How is your fuel pressure. Low fuel pressure kills injectors fast. Are you adding any additives to the fuel or oil? Have you ever run out of fuel? Try running 5w-40 through her to clean up the injectors.

It is a 2003 with 158,000 miles, i have never ran it out but don't know about previous owners. I have thought about running 5\40. I have ran dieselkleen in it

You can get a fuel pressure gauge and hook it up, IMO its the most important add on gauge next to EGT. Dieselkleen is good but only helps the fuel side. The oil side of the injector needs to be squeeky clean also. Running 5W-40 synthetic will help with stiction in the injectors, and an oil bypass filter is always a good thing. Remember also you've got alot of miles on those injectors now - they don't owe you anything.

Bob

I was thinking about your problem, you should check out Hot Shot's Secret additive out, here's the link.

Hot Shot's Secret

I'm going to use it on mine for preventitive reasons, I'm going to use both the fuel and the oil additive.

His testing shows most injector failures are a result of severe stiction, not mechanical issues. Makes sense to me, these injectors are built to a very tight tolerance, regular maintenance cleaning makes sense. I run synthetic only, and have a bypass filter so they should be in pretty good shape. I've checked out the web on HSS, and never heard anything but positives.
