About the Ranchos -- I just put 900+ miles towing a bobcat one way and an empty trailer back. On the way up I cranked all 4 Ranchos counterclockwise full stop (to #1, I think). On the way back I cranked 'em all full clockwise (to #9?).

To tell you the truth, I don't notice much difference. Granted, there was 5k load going up and just an old steel trailer coming back. Today empty I still can't decide which setting is "softer", and I haven't bothered to look it up (aint on the box they came in).

I ran over a lot of rough roads going up especially, and the ride was fine. No complaints, but I agree with Bush's question, what is the need for adjustable shocks, especially if you can't tell much difference in the stiffness?

Shocks weren't my problem.

The sway bar bushings are dry rotting and the link bushings were junk.

Especially the passengers side, the top bushing was completely blown.

I know I could have just ordered some new bushing for the links, but I just don't have the tools to get them out and press them back in, so I bought new links at the dealership with the bushings already in them (that's how they come now) I got them for 50 bucks and some change each.

The bushings will be here tomorrow and I get them for about 30 each.

Should ride alot better now.
