About the Ranchos -- I just put 900+ miles towing a bobcat one way and an empty trailer back. On the way up I cranked all 4 Ranchos counterclockwise full stop (to #1, I think). On the way back I cranked 'em all full clockwise (to #9?).
To tell you the truth, I don't notice much difference. Granted, there was 5k load going up and just an old steel trailer coming back. Today empty I still can't decide which setting is "softer", and I haven't bothered to look it up (aint on the box they came in).
I ran over a lot of rough roads going up especially, and the ride was fine. No complaints, but I agree with Bush's question, what is the need for adjustable shocks, especially if you can't tell much difference in the stiffness?
