I just had my transmission serviced. When i got it back, the Trans temp gauge starts about midway up the gauge, even when it's stone cold. I called the garage and he said servicing the transmission would have nothing to do w/ how the temp gauge works. Any ideas out there ont his problem?

thats the million dollar question, its basically a useless item, mine will stay at the bottom till i get to the end f our drive, then jump to N on the normal, but my real gauge still reads less than 100
they are basically idiot gauges, mne never moves of N or O but tranny temps on the dial are all over the place 180-220
the pcm/ecm knows the real temp and will do things like turn on teh fan and disenge od if it gets to teh point it needs some cooling down.
sounds like a good time to get some gauges, tranny temp and exhaust atr a minimum then boost and a few others
it basically never stops, you will catch the fever :D :D :D
