Made it back from RIMPAC. If you don't know, its the bigest muti-national war game thing. All that means to me is more time at sea. We were defending country Blue and protecting the aircraft carrier from country Orange. We had to watch out for Orange submarines. We shot one too (pretend of course) and managed to stay out of harms way. Our aircraft carrier didn't get sunk and Blue's was out in the first few days. They had to go into the penalty box for a while I think. This sounds great and all but I only heard about it from the guys who work up forward. The engineering department doesn't care what the heck is going on. We just keep the rock hot, make steam and push the ship. I can't believe we were able to stay ou the whole time because stuff kept breaking. You know what they say, "built by the lowest bidder!" By the way, after 2 1/2 weeks, she started right up. A little dirty from the rain but that's nothing a day at the hose 'em off joint wont fix. Got to run this tank out an put in some fresh diesel. At any rate, its good to be back.

Glad you are Back.

Sounds like you had so much fun out there playing in the water. I remember those days of playing war games off the coast of CA, HA and Guam. It has been a long time ago but I sure remember them. I was a snip and made it to E-4 before I got out in 1971.
Grown man spending our tax money playing war games. Now enjoy some time with your truck.By the way how much is Diesel over there?:thumbs
