Idm ????

Hey guys my trucks been flashing a service engine light on/off until warm while driving after cold start up? I also had a club member here in Texas hook up the scaner got an IDM code ? What gives is the IDM bad or going out or do I just need to run it into my brothers Ford dealer?

check the under valve cover harnesses...if one of them is bad youll get a inconsistent connection that will result in an idm code..

and while your under there don't forget to install the new clips.

I'll ditto what has been said aready.

The key clue is the temperature thing you mentioned. That sounds like a classic, text book symptom of UVC connectors.
