IDM or PCM

What is the differance in the PCM and the IDM? I had to have the IDM changed about 3 months ago and now the STEALERSHIP is telling me the PCM is bad and has to be replaced. Just to be safe where is each one located if not the same? Thanks. Chris.
I have a 2000 F-350 4x4 7.3 CC single axle.......

The IDM is burried in the front left fenderwell area.

The PCM is visable just ahead of the e-brake pedal, mounted to the sidewall.

Thanks, that answered my question completely. I guess that this means that I get to get porked again.....It wasn't running and had to tow it to the dealership......
