when I start my truck in the AM ("03 6.0 diesel) it will idle for about a minute then rev for a split second and return to idle. sometimes the check engine light will come on. If it comes on and I shut down and restart it will usually go off. also sometimes when driving down the road with a steady foot on the gas the truck will surge forward like I hit the peddle. anyone else experience this.

yep, had same issue about a year ago....
i would check out the ICP(injection control pressure) sensor and electrical plug for the ICP. the plug will get oil soaked do to the fact ICP is leaking, then won`t beable to have the proper reading....
probaly should check the codes first....since your CEL(check engine light) was on....hope this helps

i would stick with OEM(Ford). i think mine was around 160.00Cdn....
