Not flaming Texans here, or anything, cause I love you guys, but we've been driving on ice up here for the last month and a half, and I have yet to see anything like THAT! Course, we're all ready for it up here with snow tires and such, and it's been around for a while, so it hasn't caught us offguard since early November. Crazy stuff....

Flame away! This explains my "Texans on Ice" comment in a previous thread. That is why I cringe everytime we get ice, cause I'm usually out patching these people up after their wild ride. Texans are not used to this kind of weather. We don't get this every year like other places. So people get very complacent and STUPID. This little bout was nothing too. A real ice storm is horrible on traffic, but the body shop guys love it.

You should see Californian's on snow. They have NO CLUE about snow driving. I lived in Colorado where people can do a great job of driving on snow. It is all what you are brought up in.

Yep, your right there. I learned to drive on the snow/ice in Indiana. I'll go out in the snow - no problems - but when the ice hit's - I keep my fat ass home cause I don't get paid enough to bend my truck up.

So thats where they all are. We have snow and ice from Sept until May and four out of five people around here can't drive on it. There are more holes in the snow banks where cars have crashed than you can count. Every morning during the rush hour commute the tow companies are very busy. I guess they all moved here from Texas:dunno

What's with the slammin of Texuns ?

The thing I love about generalizations is that you are always WRONG in some cases :)

So, according to the posts thus far...
NO ONE in Colorado or Alaska has wrecks... correct ?!?

Just funnin' with you, JohnBoy...:D Nothing meant by it.:sorry Contrary to what i posted earlier, when our first snow fell this year, we had a total of 200 auto accidents throughout the Greater Spokane Metro in a period of about 3 hours. It always seems to be that way around here. First snow, lots of accidents, then, from that point on, no problems. Either the idiots just stay off the road, or the accident they had on the first day wrecked their car up so bad that they don't get it back until spring:dunno . So far, nothing like the link shows, though...

If you look at my history of posts, i have a long history of taking little jabs at Texans, because most of my in-laws live down there, and they are a heck of a strange lot. That, and this board seems to be very popular down there, so there are a bunch of you on here. I guess I'm just jealous...:D

Wife just left home and 1/4 mile down the road some idiot about wiped her out. She avoided the accident and he ended up in the ditch so he got what he needed for his erratic driving. Been slick here for months and people still don't have a clue.
