last few mornings, the ol' grey mare has started OK, but when I take off down the road, it starts surging.. kinda acting like gelled fuel, but it ain't nowhere near cold enough for that.
I couldn't remember the last time I put a fuel filter in it, so I decided to change it out..
tons of what looked like flakes of pepper suspended in the fuel in the bowl..
I figured that would take care of it..
next morning, still surging.. I let it die this time, check engine light came on before it gave up the ghost, and it started like it wasn't getting fuel again..
but when it did finally start, it rocked and rolled like when you forget to plug your truck in at night and it turns the oil into molasses..
So it was due for an oil change anyway, I did that this morning. While I was at it, I pulled fault codes.. and
I had ICP not desired,
ICP too high/too low
and the ever present ROM error code you get when you have a chip..
I didn't drive the truck today, had no where to go..
I'll post up tomorrow what it does in the morning.
