Yup....6.0 Vortec piston slap. Had it in my '99 2500 Silverado and dealer said it was normal. I drove it like it was normal and had no problems with it. Metronomic and hypnotizing sound at idle.:D

I had a neighboor with a Lumina that had piston slap and they replaced the engine at ~30k. If they can admit it is not right in a Lumina why not the 6.0Ls?

That's a good one, more people should do things like that to get the manufacturers' attention. I saw a Dodge pickup recently that had a message in the back window written in shoe polish asking people not to go to a certain local Dodge dealer.
