IMHO, its not about record breaking profits, the big oil guys are taking it in the shorts right now with the loss of the ability to produce oil, what good is $70.00/bbl to an oil company if they cant get the crude out of the ground much less refine it.. The hike in prices you are going to see is supply and demand. The supply is down and demand is the same or may have risen slightly. Simple economics.
