Was up in Fairbanks several times when my father still worked at the University, summer was great fun over at Minnow Flats (early 1970's
fishin there was amazing). Winter was real cold, shocks would freeze on the car, then when it warmed up all of the oil would drain out of them...

Just happened to think, my dad's veterinarian is up there for the iditarod, helping keep the dogs healthy, I wonder if it's cold enough on the trail for those guys... :cold 2

Yep.. When Rancho first came out with there 9000 series adjustable shocks I ordered up a set including the incab remote. They lasted about three days into winter and then all the oil ran out on the ground -mad I have tried many different brands since then and the Trail Master SSV is the only one that has held up for any length of time.

Well it still cold up North but it warming up around here. Should be above zero here at the house tomorrow but still -70 wind chill up North. I saw a quite a bit of -40 and colder last night but I kept the windows up so I don't know how bad the wind chill was. I do know that the 53' long - 14' high trailer I was pulling was rockin and a rolling so it must have been 40+ mph gusts so the windchill would be fierce. I know the trailers fall over at about 80 mph so it wasn't that bad since I stayed on all 24 tires :sweet.

Hey Crumm;

We have 70's here also today... but of course +72 for today. Forcast to be +84 Tuesday.... Soon you will be smiling at us, when you are in the 70's and we are in the 110+ and roasting. Of course this year, we will not be here during the summer.
Stay safe... If you had a mechanical problem in minus whatever temp, it could get dangerous.

Its warmed up alot here since last week when the temps were -30F. It was almost 50F here today. It was almost too warm. I guess spring is almost here just about time to stow away the snowmobile and bring out the 4 wheeler.
