c'mon this aint like YOUR company where you built it up
and are emotionally attached to it.

these guys are empty suit wankers (save for a very few)
they have no attachment to anything...cept cash.

and btw the destiny of a lay off was there w/ or w/out this
guy...he didnt cause it...at best heres brought in as a turn around
artist...

The funny thing is that Boeing didn't start cleaning Airbus' clock after getting its lunch handed to it by that European firm until the latter part of 2006, which coincides with Mullally's DEPARTURE from Boeing. The new 787 Dreamliner has its production outsourced to several foreign firms, with three Japanese companies building the wings, fuselage sections, and wing box structure. The parts come to Everett to be put together for an airplane out the door every four days. So much for keeping American jobs in America. Was it Mullally's efforts or his DEPARTURE that allowed the reversal of fortune for the Seattle plane maker?

i seriously doubt they pulled all that together at boeing in 3 months...

as an example of how f'ed up corps' can be...mine cant even
EMAIL a software license to a customer whos bought 1.2M dollars
worth of software...took us almost FOUR WEEKS just to get 'em the
electronically gen'd key.

you can bet some of boeings success is due in part to the problems
that airbus is having too.

i dont know this guy at all...dont follow mfg stuff too much...im sure
GOOD folks follow this guy...only thing we can do is wait and see.

That kinda Crapola outa be against the law. Makes me sick.. it just aint right. But WE, the Little Peopole, don't have much of a say in it.

THAT aint right either..:cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:

Few months ago.. FORD was go'n broke, yet they pay that CEO, those kinda bucks.. Somthins Wrong with that Picture.

Against the law, you mean sorta like Communism? Because that's what it would be.

The market decided the price: if you want the best, you have to pay to get it.

It's going to take far more than three or four months to turn around a company as large as Ford. And if anyone can do it, it's AM.

As far as Boeing is concerned, it's stock and Commercial airplanes fortunes are DIRECTLY related to AM's work and leadership. He was at the forefront at fixing our production problems from the late 90's to the design and manufacture of the 787, including the now obvious market calculation of point-to-point air travel vs. the Airbus hub-and-spoke bohemoth A-380 strategy; we now have over 514 orders for the 787 and we're sold out through 2013.

Like I said, if anyone can turn around Ford, it's AM.

No market decided his salary. That was pure greed and idiocy from the board. My whole point is that it is hugely irresponsible to pay that much money BEFORE he does the job. What will their excuse be if he fails? Hire him at a couple 100 K per year and say, pull us out of the crapper and we'll make you rich. Fail and you are out on your *ss.

the BOARD didnt gain anything by saying yes...in fact THEY (and all the
other share holders have the ablity to say NO!)

you and i BOTH know somethings cant be turned around or are WORSE
internally than anyone person can over come...would you risk your future
employment on this ? what if it fails...what will you walk away w/ then ?

again he asked for the compensation...they could have said NO...but
theyre DESPERATE !
