Lost a true American hero and friend yesterday:

Master Sgt. Art Lilley
US Army 7th Special Forces
Fort Bragg, NC.

He leaves behind a wife and two children. Art was killed in Afganistan and I currently don't know all the details to his death.

Art was one of my best friends and I can truefully say he was a hero. Everything he ever did was in support of our country. To sit down with him and hear him tell a story about one of his missions or get to hang out with him on the trail was a big enjoyment to say the least. Art always took his responsibilities very seriously. He loved his family, his country and the off-road community. Just this past Tuesday I told him how I really looked forward to his return in November so we could get together and do some 4 wheeling. Rawlings and I had planned on working on his trail truck in order to get it in shape for his return from his deployment. Art, I am sure you are in a place where you will feel no pain. Rest in peace my friend. I will pray daily for your family. You will be missed. Thanks for your faithful, heroic, un-selfish, service to our nation. It has been a privledge to call Art Lilley my friend. God Bless his family.

prayers sent for the family. I am sure he is in a place where the trails are always muddy and the trucks clean themselves...

God bless you Master Sgt Art Lilley

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
