You gotta get on it and frequently rray. These trucks need to be driven like you stole them. The EGR valve is one reason as you found out.

Will do. The 6.0 grin has returned to my face, and the gnawing fear that something will fail or break loose on the engine has dissipated. Things could have been much worse, and I know I was lucky. Poorer perhaps, but lucky. Happiness was getting the truck out on I-24, putting the pedal to the floor and getting that turbo kick in the pants, while looking at the ScanGauge II and seeing a oil/water delta of only 3 degrees, versus the 20 degree delta I had before the EGR cooler and oil cooler went south.
