the cord from the block heater is black, with 2 'ribs' its a 3 wire cord. at the oil filter/oil cooler the brass plug has a silicone covering on the wire. here is a picture of mine- the front of the truck is at the TOP of the picture.
iirc, on all the 7.3's the cord came installed on all trucks. its just hidden at the front. you have to get your hands up into and behind the bumper to find it. mine has a black corrugated loom over it, but you can plainly see the black, flat 3 wire cord in it.
