I hate my dealers service Dept.

It all started my some simple warranty work on my door moldings that were coming off. When they put the new ones on they put them on crooked and one was badly scratched. I watched the entire operation from the lot and I had watched the service manager rub his hand across the scratch. He knew it was there and sure enough they brought the truck off trying to pass it off.
I told my sales guy about the incident he told me he would arrange to have it fixed. I brought it in about two weeks later in the two weeks I had developed an oil leak I asked the service manager to take a look at that as well.

Everything was fixed, my door moldings good, could not detect any more oil leaking they said it was coming from the inlet side of the turbo. They told me they put the dye into it. The very next fillup about three weeks later because of vacation I popped the hood to check out the oil level. It was about a 1/2 quart high about an 1/8" over the overfill mark. Then the oil cap was sitting on the battery.

What is everyones thoughts on possible damage? What should I do about the fricken dealer?

I did learn a lesson, no matter how busy I am as soon as it comes back from the stealer check the entire vehicle out.

I would send a letter to the dealership about the high oil level and oil cap missing. It might come in handy if you have any enginer warranty claims down the road.

I would also find another dealer.

Well I just got off the phone with the dealer. He was very apoligetic for everything and he assured me that everything will be allright. He said if it was more like a quart more over the mark he would be worried.

He did not try to deny anything and stated he would log it incase something was to come up. I asked if he would give me a copy of the report for my records.

He said he personally would do one of there 100 and some odd point inspections and change both of my fuel filters and clean the water fuel seperatior unit. He also said he would throw in a oil change next time I come in. I declined at first until he said he would use my preference on oil.
