Hey guys I know its been a while but between work, fishing, and this puter shuttin off whenever it feels like, I don't get online much. So here is the deal, I have this high pitch chirping noise that is fairly constant when rolling. There were some problems with the '06 bearings or hubs or something if I remember correctly. Do you think that could be were it is coming from? Its not the engine because it doesn't do it at idle and I've been rolling in neutral and cut the engine and it still does it. I'm pretty sure its not the suspension and the exhaust is buttoned on pretty tight. I can't think of anything else. Could I take it to the stealership and have them figure out what it is since its still under warranty. I really think its in the hub somewhere but I don't know which one. What kind of things can I do to check myself? I don't know if I can get it to make the sound if I put it on a jack and spin the wheel around. Check for play maybe? Any input would be awesome. (Without ME its just AWESO)

P.S. The red squiggly for a spelling error is awesome. Did you guys add that or did my puter do it on its own?

It definately sounds like a driveline thing. Does it chirp at a rate of once per tire revolution or does it chirp at about 3 to 4 times per tire revolution?

If it's chirping at 3 to 4 times per tire revolution, then it's coming from something in the driveshaft area or pinion gear, most likely a u-joint or carrier bearing. If it's going at once per tire revolution, then your looking for a bearing or maybe a dragging brake thing.

The chirp sound is more than once per tire revolution but it seems like it is very irregular. I'll have to get under there when I get it on the lift to change the oil and see what I can find. I can't even tell if its coming from up front or in the rear. I don't think it could be anything with the brakes because when I step on the brake pedal the sound is still there. I guess I'll just look for metal shavings coming out of somewhere or something like that. I don't guess its a HUGE deal right now but the sound lets people think that I keep my truck in a state of disrepair which is not the case.
