by my own truck!!!!!i got the tranny for my car carrier rebuilt.i put it in yesterday.

but dureing the install i broke the shift lever range sensor.i picked one up at the junkyard.now you guys are gonna laugh at me.i did the most stupid thing in my life!!!i crawled under it to install the new sensor.truck wasnt running.and not thinking i went to loosen the nut on the shift lever wich in turn put the truck in reverse  .and yes i got run over by my own truck :roflmao .i tried to lay down flat and hope the front axle would go over me.that didnt happen.i got wedged between the axle and the pavement  .good thing my buddy was there as well.he hopped across the hood of some guys car, ripped the door open and jammed the brakes on.i got dragged about 4 feet before he could get in it and stop it.i ended up with some nasty scrapes on my left side of my back and a big bump on my upper right arm.other than that im fine.

mental note:do not get under truck and mess with shifter prts without the ebrake on or wheels blocked especially on a hill.

I'm not gonna laugh.. I'm the guy that was lubing the chain on his motorcycle with it running when he was 15 years old.. took three months for it to heal... and I've had 11 fingernails since.

I've learned that if I utter the phrase "...I forsee my death..." I'll stop myself and take all proper safety precautions.

That had to hurt. Hope you learned from that whole situation, because if you didn't there could be worse to come.

I don't even crawl under my truck to change the oil without chocking the wheels. I'm a big guy and it's a tight fit under there for me, couldn't imagine if it started rolling on me. I don't worry about it as much with my Jeep, as I can hold it in my place laying on the ground, as there's enough clearance under everything where I know I could wiggle through it and be okay, but I still always chock the wheels anytime I'm messing with driveline or suspension stuff.

Good to hear you made it out of there alive though!
